Project 9: Drip and Splatter Portrait

You are going to make something like this:

Part 1: Adding Brushes

Brushes are an important part of the Photoshop experience and this assignment. You will need to download these brushes and add them to your brush library.

Drip Brushes

Part 2: The Process

1. Seperate the subject from the background.

2. Add a gradient background in a coordinating color.

3. Use the Brush tool and the drip brush to create a mask with the drip.

4. Adjust the drip by unlinking the mask or adding to it.

5. Create a new layer above the background, but below the subject and use the splatter brushes with colors that are a little lighter or darker than the background to create texture. Change the size and orientation of the brushes.

6. Make a new top layer and do the same as in #5.
